Dunkan ‘Dunk’ Robertson is a London-based professional bassist and session musician working across pop, live television, artist performance and international events.

Originally from Edinburgh, Dunkan began playing professionally on the Scottish music scene before moving to London. Known for his musicality, confident stage presence and reliability, Dunk brings plenty of personality to every gig, with a Scottish accent and sense of humour that tend to leave an impression.

His work spans genres and settings, from pop with JP Cooper and Callum Beattie to country with Kevin McGuire and Jordan Harvey, as well as bespoke musical accompaniment for Hussain Manawer, a two-time Sunday Times bestselling poet and author. His extensive television work spans over a decade of performances with a range of artists on shows including The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.

Dunkan’s recent work has taken him across the UK and internationally for high-end corporate events and private parties—including playing for the England Lionesses as they celebrated their Euros victory. A core member of Fake Tan, he’s often found in the thick of the crowd, delivering high-energy roaming sets with plenty of personality and guests dancing around him. He also brings his feel for R&B to Afterdark Live, alongside some of London’s top session and touring musicians. Most recently, he has become the bassist for All Things Nice, a multi-award-winning luxury entertainment company, joining its new eight-piece showband.

A first-class BA (Hons) Music graduate, Dunkan brings a broad understanding of live music, both onstage and behind the scenes. His work as a production technician at London’s renowned John Henry’s Studios saw him tech for acts such as Khalid, The 1975 and Liam Gallagher, liaising directly with their management teams and gaining firsthand insight into the demands of major live productions.
